OUTDOORSMAN'S PARADISE!
This land sits in the middle of a primeval woods in the wonderful temperate rainforest of the Blue Ridge mountains just east of Blowing Rock. When I went down to walk this land a storm was moving in. I was walking the grass path into these two tracts when the skies opened and a deluge ensued. The remarkable thing was how long it stormed with a tremendous downpour until the first drops broke through the canopy. It was well over a minute. Eventually I was soaked to the bone, had to safeguard my hearing aids as I walked on in the lovely summer rainstorm. A pristine woods like this is a wonderful place to walk. There is so little human traffic, no automobiles, no sounds of human machinery that it is a virtual wildlife sanctuary with deer and wild turkey abounding. It is a peaceful path to walk and I hope you come down and traipse these wonderful woods. I thought that the land laid pretty gently for much of it. Some of the larger tract was steep but it seemed that this would just afford a greater view. Seeing it in high summer as I did it may well be that with the fall of the leaves a generous winter view would open up. This is land one could use to simply separate from civilization occasionally or permanently as you wished. A lot of people would find this an ideal outdoorsman’s tract.. Whatever you use it for, if you’re like me you’ll enjoy being on this land the moment you set foot on it. Follow the directions below to do just that and let me know what you think of it when you return.
