Likewise we jump on 289 and go north to Hwy 82 and there we find a host of restaurants and shopping in Sherman, drive just a little further up 289 and we are quickly at Tanglewood Resort on Lake Texoma or to enjoy some great entertainment at Choctaw. I just cant say enough good things about the area. NOW HERE IS A JIM OWEN PREDICTION the airport in Sherman the one that was formerly Perrin Air Force Base is so ripe for development, it is now called North Texas Regional Airport and they are marketing it hard, it is just a matter of time before they land some major firm or firms that will bring major employment to the area including a large transferring base of executives. Those people will look at Gunter and say how perfect it is, exemplary schools, nice country setting, a golf course, easy to get to Dallas and surrounds and that could be a catalyst for very respectable growth and enhancement of land values.
